MICHIGAN SRS CLINIC DATES - JULY 2008

DressageClinics.org is honored to offer four opportunities in Michigan to learn from two Bereiters from the Spanish Riding School. We hope you can join us at one or all of the following events, below:

The Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria, with its famous white Lipizzaner Stallions, has for over 430 years represented classical equitation at its finest.  Both stallions and riders follow a careful classical training system that produces some of the best riders and horses in the world.

One or two candidates (Eleves) are accepted every few years or so at age 15 or 16 to attempt to become Bereiters - a commitment that, if all goes well, will be their career for the majority of their lives.

Training is intense. After approximately 10 - 12 years, if the student survives the exams and evaluations (85% do not), demonstrates that they can not only ride but can also teach others, and trains a young stallion to Grand Prix/High School level, they earn the title of Bereiter - "Rider" of the Spanish Riding School.

We are honored to offer the opportunity to learn from two Bereiters from the SRS and hope you can join us at one or all of the following events:

Please join us for a unique opportunity to learn proper longeing techniques and use of equipment from Bereiter Seiberl, followed by a reception afterwards to meet Bereiter Seiberl and enjoy fabulous food, beverages, and camadarie.

Herr Seiberl is one of only two SRS Bereiters who does the solo Long Rein work in the performances at the SRS and on tour. His experience and knowledge about ground work are amazing, and we are looking forward to presenting a workshop focused on one of the most important tools a rider has to develop their horse and riding position.
