Check-in (for both walk-ins & pre-registered auditors): Please check in at the registration table at the entrance to the indoor arena when you arrive. Printed clinic programs, $20 Dover Saddlery Gift Certificates and the goody bags (for pre-registered auditors - click here to see flier for details) will be available at check-in.
Raffle: There will be a raffle for Disney's DVD "The Miracle of the White Stallions". This movie tells of the rescue of the Lipizzaners of the Spanish Riding School during World War II by the U.S. Army and General Patton, saving the breed from probable elimination. This DVD has been autographed by riders from the Spanish Riding School! Tickets will be available at the registration table or from Jorie.
In addition, there will be a raffle for a fabulous Ariat grooming tote filled with grooming goodies!Thanks to Dover for donation of this great raffle item!
Seating: Chairs will be set up and bleachers will also be available for seating. You might want to bring a blanket/pad for your chair for added comfort.
Video taping/photographs: Sorry, no taping or pictures of lessons unless acting on behalf of the rider in the lesson
Rider Schedule is posted on the home page of www.dressageclinics.org. Schedule will also be provided at the clinic in a printed program.
High quality sound system will be used.
No smoking anywhere at the Cheff Center.
Food/beverages: Feel free to bring lunch with you, as no lunch will be sold at the Cheff Center. A refrigerator will be available for auditors to keep food in. An air-conditioned room is available for eating. Lunch/restaurants/fast-food are available 6 miles to the east in Richland and 6 miles to the west in Urbandale. Note: There will be a presentation/demo on equine and human massage therapy during the lunch break, so you might want to bring something to eat rather than go out so that you don't miss the demo.
Snack Potluck! Bring a snack/cookies, etc. to share and we'll all enjoy the treats during lunch and the afternoon lessons. Napkins, plates, forks and beverages provided. Refrigerator available for storage.
Parking: Please park on the right side of the circular drive leading into the Cheff Center and on the right side of the Cheff Center.
Indoor bathrooms are available.

Getting There: The Cheff Center address is 8450 N. 43rd Street, Augusta, MI 49012. It is located off of M-89 /Michigan Ave on the north side of the road. Signs for the clinic will be posted at 43rd Street. Turn onto 43rd Street (it only turns to the north and is a dirt road), and the Cheff Center is a little over a half mile down the road on the right side.
Special presentations:
FRIDAY: Certified Massage therapist & Equestrian Kim Henning will explain the importance of a healthy back and the benefits of massage, and demonstrate techniques you can use. Learn how your muscles could be keeping you from the straight alignment and effective riding position you need to improve your dressage.
SATURDAY: Certified massage therapist & equestrian Kim Henning will explain how equine massage therapy can help your horse perform and feel better.
SUNDAY: Patricia Gallup, a registered Alexander Technique instructor, will discuss this hands-on, kinesthetic approach to re-educating body awareness & alignment which addresses crookedness & lack of suppleness in the body. The AT can help you improve your riding and help you achieve "self-carriage" both off and on the horse.
Presentations will be held during the last 20 minutes of the lunch hour. Snack potluck goodies will be available at that time, as well - have lunch, and come back for dessert and the presentation!
