AUDITOR INFORMATION - Premier Dressage, Jan 9 & 10, 2009
Please email Jorie Sligh (click on name) or call 616.283.4741 if you have questions. Note: I will be in Spain from Dec 20 - Jan 3 but will have Internet access. Auditor registration confirmations will be sent out as soon as I get home.
Check-in: Please check in at the registration table at the door to the indoor arena before going inside to watch lessons. Please note: Because there is no hallway, the registration table is outdoors, and the door opens directly into the indoor, it is important that people entering and leaving the indoor do so as quietly as possible so as not to disturb horse and rider if a lesson is in progress. Arriving prior to the start of the clinic would help greatly. Pre-registration for this clinic would also be a huge help to to help us get people into the arena as efficiently as possible. Walk-ins are welcome, but there is a discount for pre-registering. Click here for clinic flier and registration form. Seating: Please bring your own folding chairs/seating. Lodging: Amerihost There are also a number of chain hotels within a 15 minute drive - enter 5240 E Halbert Rd, Battle Creek, 49017 into Expedia, Orbitz, or Kayak to pull up a list of hotels and their distance from the clinic.

Weather: We know that the weather in Michigan can change dramatically… bitter cold one day, balmy the next. The arena is heated to a temperature of 52 degrees, but please still plan to dress dress warmly, as you'll be sitting most of the time and not moving around. In addition, the parking is across the street from the arena, and we don't want you freezing while walking to the arena!
Please plan on wearing layers – long underwear, warm socks, gloves, sweater, winter jacket, a scarf to keep your neck warm, and most importantly a warm hat (90% of body heat is lost from the head). If your core is warm, your fingers and toes will probably stay warm. A blanket to wrap yourself in can also help raise the comfort quotient!
Schedule: Schedule will be posted online the week of the clinic. Schedule will also be provided at the clinic in a program.
Parking: Parking is across the street from the clinic on the north side of the road at the former Knollwood Farm, now Shamrock International Equestrian Center. Address for parking is 5255 E Halbert Rd, Battle Creek. There will be parking signs. The clinic venue is at Premier Dressage, which is on the south side of the street at 5240 E Halbert Rd. If you have trouble walking or need help getting around, please click here to send me an email so that I can make arrangements for you.
Directions: Address of Premier Dressage is 5240 E Halbert Rd, Battle Creek, MI, 49017 to Mapquest or Google directions. Please note that parking is across the street at 5255 E Halbert.
Sound System: The indoor arena has a sound system so that auditors will easily be able to hear Herr Seiberl instructing students.
Food/beverages: Hot chocolate, coffee and tea will be available. Potluck Lunch will be available! Come join the fun - auditors and riders are invited. Please bring a dish - hot dish, soup, veggies, salad, side dish, dessert, bread - whatever you would like. Donation can will be available for those who are not able to bring food. We'll provide plates, cups, napkins, utensils, and beverages.
Video taping/photography: Sorry, no taping or pictures of lessons unless acting on behalf of the rider in the lesson. Taking notes is encouraged.
Indoor bathroom is available.
No smoking in the barn, indoor arena, or observation room. Please smoke only outside.
Dogs: sorry, no dogs at the clinic.
