AUDITOR INFORMATION -
Bluewater Dressage, March 24 - 26, 2011
Please email Jorie Sligh (click on name) or call 616.283.4741 if you have questions.
Check-in: Please check in at the registration table in the barn before entering the indoor arena to watch lessons.
Weather: We know that the weather in Michigan can change dramatically… bitter cold one day, balmy the next. Even if temps are unseasonably warm, it’s still March in Michigan! Warm clothing is strongly recommended. The heated observation room has seating, however, the best viewing and seating are in the unheated indoor arena. If it is cold please plan on wearing layers – long underwear, warm socks, gloves, sweater, winter jacket, a scarf to keep your neck warm, and most importantly a warm hat (90% of body heat is lost from the head). If your core is warm, your fingers and toes will probably stay warm. A blanket to wrap yourself in can also help raise the comfort quotient!
Seating: Please bring your own folding chairs/seating. The observation room has room for seating, however seating with good viewing is limited. All auditors are welcome to go in and out of the observation room in between lessons to warm up.
Schedule: Schedule will be posted online the week of the clinic. Schedule will also be provided at the clinic in a program.
Parking – Parking is on the right side of the drive as you pull in, where the horse trailers are parked. If you have trouble walking or need help getting around, please click here to send me an email so that I can make arrangements for you
Reception: Auditors are invited to a reception/early dinner to meet & talk w/ Herbert Seiberl following the clinic on Friday. Cost is $5.00 per person; pre-registration required.
Click here for clinic flier for registration.
Directions: Address of Blue River Dressage Stables is 5917 E Curtis Rd, Bridgeport, MI, 48722 to Mapquest or Google directions.
Sound System: Both the indoor arena and observation room are wired for sound with a high-quality sound system so that auditors will easily be able to hear Herr Seiberl instructing students.
Food/beverages - Hot chocolate, coffee and tea will be available. No lunch served at the venue so feel free to bring a lunch. There are restaurants, diners and fast food restaurants about 7 minutes away in Birch Run and Bridgeport.
Video taping/photography: Sorry, no taping or pictures of lessons unless acting on behalf of the rider in the lesson. Taking notes is encouraged.
Indoor heated bathroom is available.
No smoking in the barn, indoor arena, or observation room. Please smoke only outside.
Dogs - sorry, no dogs at the clinic.
